The animated fairytale "Regoch" by Helena Bulaja was awarded at the 13th International Family Film Festival in Hollywood!

"Regoch" was awarded in the category best foreign short animation. The IFF festival took place on February 1-4, 2007 in "Charlie Chaplin" theater in Raleigh Studios, Hollywood, CA. Its mission is to show and promote "films suitable for general audiences" ... that are "reflecting positive messages and images". The festival screened about 40 indepenent films from 12 different countries, and "Regoch" was one of the few outside the English-speaking countries.

IFFF exists since 1994 and over the past 12 years it "has become known as one of the premiere locations where producers and creators interested in the family film genre can network, do business and share insights with one another". This year it moved from Santa Clarita Valley to Hollywood.

The festival gives a special attention to animation, and has established an award named "Friz". The festival honored such brilliant filmmakers as the author of Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Silvester and Speedy Gonsales Isadore 'Friz' Freleng - he was the first laureate and the award was named after him later, Joseph Barbera, Chuck Jones, Charles Schultz, Roy E. Disney, the authors of "Shrek" Andrew Adamson, Kelly Ashbury and Conrad Vernon, and others. This year, for the occasion of 100th anniversary, the award was again posthumously given to Fritz Freleng.
